What we process

• Email address: sign-in happens through an emailed link, so the address is required.
• Nickname: visible to the players at your table.
• User ID: your account gets an internal identifier that links your games and subscription to you.
• WhatsApp number: optional, and visible only to people you have saved to your own friend lists.
• Game data: results, placings and scores are kept permanently so the statistics work. While a game runs we also store the round action log, which contains the players’ hands.
• Table talk: ready-made phrases only, chosen from a list — there is no free text to write.
• Subscription data: which plan is active and until when. We never see your card details.
• Bug reports: the text you write and the game situation attached to it.
• Technical logs: IP address and error reports, to prevent abuse and to fix faults.

Why we process it

To provide the game and to handle payments (performance of a contract), to prevent abuse, and to meet statutory bookkeeping duties. We do not use the data for advertising, and the service contains no ad or tracking scripts.

Where the data lives

The server and the database are in Finland, inside the EU. Data is not transferred outside the EU except for payments: PayPal, Apple or Google handles the transaction depending on where the subscription was bought, each as its own controller. Emails are sent from a Finnish mail server.

How long we keep it

• Account and game history: until you delete your account.
• Raw round action log (contains hands): 14 days after the game ends, then deleted automatically.
• Sign-in links: 7 days.
• Error logs: 30 days.

Your rights

You can delete your account in the app yourself (Profile → Delete account): your email, nickname, friend lists and rule sets are removed, and past games stay for the other players in anonymised form. You may also see your data, correct it and receive it in a portable form — write to info@sankki.app and we answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies and local storage

The browser version stores a sign-in token and your language choice on your device. Both are necessary for the service to work.

Google Analytics is used only if you allow it. It is switched off until you agree, it sets cookies of its own, and you can change your mind at any time from the link in the page footer or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The consent banner is provided by Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark); it stores your choice in a necessary cookie so you are not asked again, and you can change it from the link in the page footer.

Age

The service is intended for players aged 13 and over. In the EU, a player under 16 needs a guardian’s consent. We do not target children and we do not profile users.
